Zwingend, im Wortlaut
• No successful participation at module 14084 Antennen
Empfohlen, im Wortlaut
Knowledge of topics of physics and electrical engineering at a level corresponding to the first four semesters of a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or corresponding to the level of a Bachelor’s degree in physics
Inhalte
• Introduction • Basic antenna parameters • Theory of electromagnetic radiation • Linear and loop antennas • Antenna arrays • Broadband antennas • Aperture antennas • Microstrip antennas • Application of antennas in wireless systems In the exercise, the contents taught are consolidated through calculation examples.
Lernziele
After successfully completing the module, students are acquainted with fundamentals of antenna radiation, characteristics of different antenna configurations and the methods to calculate basic antenna parameters. They not only know how to acquire scientific knowledge but are also able to place physical phenomena into a more general context while exploring links between the different topics. In addition, students possess personal skills such as the capability for teamwork, precise reasoning, perseverance and openmindedness.
Prüfungsleistung
• Oral exam, 30-45 min. OR • Written exam, 90 min. In the first lecture it will be announced whether the examination will be conducted in written or oral form.
