Inhalte
The lecture on „Building Archaeology” explains the concept of „Bauforschung” (translated as `building archaeology´) as basic approach to the assessment of qualified culturally significant built fabric (architecture) and demonstrates the interdependencies of Heritage Management, research and preservation when dealing with a relevant category of tangible heritage. Introduction to relevant documentation methods e.g. `Raumbuch´; Practical exercise.
Lernziele
At the end of the module the student are able to analyse historical buildings, fabrics and constructions and to apply relevant basic methods of documentation.

Research Paper (10-20 pages)
