Inhalte
Software Engineering: basic steps in software engineering for hydroinfomatics software, introduction to programming languages (VBA, FORTRAN, C++, Java, C# …) and basic components, introduction to basic software engineering and implementation tools (e.g. Eclipse). Implementation of simple hydroinformatics tools: river cross-section, time series, linear equation systems, 1D numerical schemes. Code examples from implementation of graphical user interfaces, data base access, interfacing with standard data formats, multi-threading, interprocess communication, Web technology, open source tools and libraries for hydroinformatics systems. GIS: coordinate system, raster and vector based data structures, digital elevation models (raster, TIN), interfacing, import/export, data analysis, geo-spatial analysis, Application examples from hydro-engineering projects.
Lernziele
Programming skills for hydroinformatics system development and adaptation, understanding of GIS data structures and application concepts in hydroinformatics.
