Contents
Development of parametric models in various planning phases with and without consideration of CNC production. In-depth techniques in the construction of prototype models. Programming basics. The module is based on teaching 30% scientific basics; 40% methods; 30% expertise.
Learning outcomes
The student - has profound skills in parametric modeling and digital design methods, • can deal in differentiated manner with digital tools and with planning-related programming techniques, • has the competence to work with various digital techniques in connection with CNC technology, • can independently work on projects in various levels of detail, • has extensive understanding of the implementation of digital into real models, • can organize himself, prepare the work and process planning and critically evaluate the use of CNC machines in the design process.
Assessment
1. Interim presentation 1 - digital model, 20 min. (25%) 2. Interim presentation 2 - digital model, 20 min. (25%) 3. Final presentation including discussion of the results, 20 min. (50%) In the final presentation, the students are expected to submit the following: • digital model of their own design • Real model and / or drawing of the design • Documentation of the design
