Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit Design for Wireless Systems

Entwurf von integrierten Hochfrequenzschaltungen für drahtlose Systeme

6 CPirregularlyEN

Prerequisites

Recommended, as written

• Knowledge of topics of transistor physics and electrical engineering at a level corresponding to the level of a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

Contents

• Overview on wireless systems architectures • RF receiver front-end architectures • RF transmitter front-end architectures • Link budget analysis for wireless systems • Low noise amplifiers design • Power amplifiers design • Up- and down- conversion mixers design

Learning outcomes

After successfully completing the course, students will have hands-on experience with RFIC architectures for wireless systems and circuits. They will also have gained an overview about the main RF building blocks and developed a solid understanding of the primary performance parameters in RF wireless systems.

Assessment

• Written examination, 90 min.
