Geometric Modelling and Presentation Methods

4 CPWinterENno longer offered

Contents

Mathematical background for modelling geometry in the context of numerical grid generation and presentation of physics in Web environment will be taught. Geometry modelling concerns 2-D and 3-D structured and unstructured grids including time dependent processes. Interaction and influence of grid on physical solutions will be analysed and discussed. Small examples will be implemented and exercises with adapted and commercial software run.

Learning outcomes

Understanding of modelling geometry and learning impact of discretization to correct representation of physics; Moving boundaries and time dependent discrete representation of fronts; grid types, models and generators; discrete physial state variables.

Assessment

exercises, written examination
