In the 1st semester, the standard study plan also asks for:

• ≥ 8 CP from the area: “Angewandte und Technische Informatik”
• ≥ 8 CP from the area: “Praktische Informatik”
• ≥ 6 CP from the areas: “Mathematik (Anwendungen)”, “Mathematik”, “Maschinenbau / Elektrotechnik”, “Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen”, “Bauingenieurwesen” or “Physik”
